Sky Sports reporter gives update on Alvaro Morata at Chelsea FC
Dharmesh Sheth says Chelsea FC would only consider letting Alvaro Morata leave on a permanent deal this summer

Chelsea FC would only consider letting Alvaro Morata leave the club this summer on a permanent deal and not on loan, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
The 25-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of speculation this summer after his mixed debut campaign at the west London club.
Morata signed for Chelsea FC from Real Madrid last July but struggled to produce consistent form throughout his first campaign in England.
The striker started the season strongly under Antonio Conte but his form in the second part of the season tailed off after he struggled with a back injury.
Morata will now be hoping to prove himself to new manager Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge as he bids to enjoy a fruitful second campaign at Chelsea FC.
The striker has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, and Sky Sports reporter Sheth has now revealed that the Blues would only consider letting him leave on a permanent deal and not on loan.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “Our information that if Chelsea are to let Morata go, it will have to be on a permanent deal.”
Chelsea FC won the FA Cup under Conte last season but they struggled to produce consistent form in the Premier League as they ended up in fifth place.
