Andreas Christensen has revealed that he has been taking advice from John Terry following his recent struggles in a Chelsea FC shirt.
The Danish defender has earned a regular spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge this season after having returned from a two-year loan spell with German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
Christensen earned rave reviews for his strong performances in the opening stages of the campaign but his displays have been more shaky in recent weeks after a small dip in form.
The 21-year-old will be hoping to step his game up in the coming weeks as he bids to try and help Chelsea FC finish in fourth place in the Premier League and win the FA Cup in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge.
And the young defender has revealed that former Chelsea FC captain Terry has been giving him some advice as he settles into life in the first team at Stamford Bridge.
Christensen is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard: “My team-mates have seen all my other performances, so they know that these mistakes aren’t typical for me.
“I have had a smaller talk with John Terry: he has also experienced setbacks and it is always nice to talk to someone watching it from the outside and to learn that they have experienced the same.
“He told me that it is natural to make mistakes and he tried to put it in perspective for me saying that, if a forward misses a chance, he can make it good again by scoring when he gets the next opportunity.”
Christensen will be hoping to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch home clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 21-year-old has made 23 Premier League appearances for the Blues so far this season.
