Cesar Azpilicueta issues a warning to his Chelsea FC team-mates ahead of their clash with Arsenal
Cesar Azpilicueta has warned Chelsea FC that the Blues will have to keep their focus as they prepare to host Arsenal in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues are currently getting used to life under new manager Maurizio Sarri after his appointment as the club’s new boss back in July.
Chelsea FC made a solid start to the new Premier League season as they sealed a thumping 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town in their opener on Saturday.
Sarri is getting to grips with his new squad as he looks to at least steer Chelsea FC back into contention for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Chelsea FC will now switch their attentions towards their crunch clash against Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as they bid to make it two wins from their first two top flight outings under their new boss.
And Azpilicueta has warned his team-mates that they will have to be at their best if they want to perform at the highest level against the Gunners this weekend.
Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website after Saturday’s win, Azpilicueta said: “It’s a new period with a new manager, but we have been working really hard with him.
“We know what he wants and our target was to start in a good way.
“We did it and now we have to be focused because we have a derby on Saturday and it is an important game.”
Arsenal were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City in their first Premier League game under new boss Unai Emery back on Sunday.
