Chelsea FC are set to battle with AS Roma for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Blues are facing competition from the Italian club for the signature of the 20-year-old as they look to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes on 9 August.
However, AS Roma are also believed to be on the lookout for another wide player after FC Barcelona beat them to the signature of Malcom.
According to the same story, Willian is set to stay at Stamford Bridge this summer, but Chelsea FC are still weighing up whether to make a move for Bailey or not.
Chelsea FC completed their first signing of the summer transfer window earlier this month when they tied up a deal to bring Jorginho to Stamford Bridge from Napoli.
The Blues are currently getting used to life under new manager Maurizio Sarri after his appointment as the club’s new manager earlier this month.
At the very least, Chelsea FC will be looking to break back into the top four this season after they finished fifth and won the FA Cup last term.
