Chelsea FC to offer Callum Hudson-Odoi new deal after injury – report
Chelsea FC are planning to hand Callum Hudson-Odoi a new contract after his injury setback, say reports
Chelsea FC are planning to hand Callum Hudson-Odoi a new contract while he recovers from a ruptured Achilles that has ended his season, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Blues are planning to reaffirm their commitment to the 18-year-old by offering him a new deal as he recovers from the injury he picked up during the 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday night.
According to the same story, the England international has not given up hope of being fit for the start of next season, but it is claimed that his injury setback is likely to end Bayern Munich’s interest in signing him this summer.
The same article says that Chelsea FC hope to “capitalize” on the situation by underlining their commitment to the player with the offer of a new contract.
Hudson-Odoi’s current contract at Chelsea FC is set to expire at the end of next season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
The Blues are aiming to finish in the top four and win the Europa League this season in Maurizio Sarri’s first campaign in charge at the club.
