Chelsea FC set to offer top 25-year-old more than £200,000 a week – report
Thibaut Courtois is set to be offered a new contract worth more than £200,000 a week at Chelsea FC, say reports

Chelsea FC are ready to offer Thibaut Courtois a new deal worth more than £200,000 a week when the resume contact talks with the goalkeeper later this month, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the west London side will renew their efforts to get the goalkeeper to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge after the key games against FC Barcelona and Leicester City this month.
The same report says that Chelsea FC are willing to offer the shot-stopper a significant wage hike to more than £200,000 a week as they bid to get him to sign a new deal at the club.
Courtois is currently under contract until the summer of 2019 and it remains to be seen whether he will pen a new deal with the defending Premier League champions.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are “under pressure” to finalise terms with Courtois because Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on developments.
Courtois was unable to prevent Chelsea FC from slipping to a disappointing 2-1 loss to Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford last weekend.
That result left the Blues down in fifth place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and break back into the top four this season.
