Thibaut Courtois sends message to Chelsea FC after FC Barcelona defeat
Thibaut Courtois accepts the blame following his disappointing display in Chelsea FC's 3-0 loss to FC Barcelona

Thibaut Courtois has accepted his responsibility in the disappointment of Chelsea FC’s 3-0 loss to FC Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The shot-stopper was caught out by Lionel Messi’s low shot which went through his legs within three minutes of the last 16 second leg at Camp Nou to put FC Barcelona in control.
Ousmane Dembele then made it 2-0 to the home side before half-time, and Messi booked the Spanish side’s place in the quarter-finals with another shot through Courtois’ legs in the second half.
Messi’s two goals looked as if they could have been prevented by the Belgian shot-stopper and Courtois accepted after the game that he had made a mistake.
Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Courtois said: “I’ve played against Messi a lot of times, I have already conceded goals like that before.
“The weakest point is between the legs or a goalkeeper. It is annoying, I cannot hide inside, I have to be a man and come out.
“I made some good saves too but we go out with conceding four goals from four mistakes.”
Chelsea FC will now switch their attentions to FA Cup affairs and their quarter-final showdown against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
The Blues are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and break back into the top four before the season is out.
After their Champions League exit, Chelsea FC are now playing for the FA Cup and a top-four finish in the Premier League.
