Danny Drinkwater issues Chelsea FC rallying cry ahead of Palace clash
Danny Drinkwater discusses Chelsea FC's stuttering form ahead of the home clash against Crystal Palace next weekend

Danny Drinkwater admits that he and his Chelsea FC team-mates need to step their games up in the coming days after the disappointment of their 1-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.
The Blues slumped to a disappointing and demoralising 1-0 loss to Pep Guardiola’s men at The Etihad on Sunday afternoon as they were dealt another blow to their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.
Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game earlier in the second half in what ended up being another disappointing afternoon for the west London side.
The result left Chelsea FC in fifth place in the Premier League table and five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
Chelsea FC have now lost four of their last five games in the Premier League and they have an uphill battle to try and break back into the top four before the season is out.
And Blues midfielder Drinkwater admits that they have plenty of work to do if they are to successfully break back into the top four this term ahead of their home clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website after the game, Drinkwater said: “We need to get back on it.
“The quicker we do that the better. Gaps can close, positions can change and we need to make that change.
“We need to look at what’s available to us now points wise. There are nine games left, 27 points, and stuff can still change. We need to force our way back into it.”
Chelsea FC won the title last term but they did not have the distraction of any European football.
