Didier Drogba replies when asked if Chelsea FC should appoint Frank Lampard
Didier Drogba has his say on the prospect of Frank Lampard becoming the new Chelsea FC manager

Didier Drogba believes that Frank Lampard would be an excellent appointment for Chelsea FC despite his relative lack of managerial experience.
The former Chelsea FC midfielder has been touted as a possible candidate to take over at Stamford Bridge this summer amid the uncertainty about Maurizio Sarri’s future at the west London club.
Lampard only has one year’s worth of experience as a manager after he was appointed as Derby County boss last summer and led them to the Championship play-off final, where they lost to Aston Villa.
However, Chelsea FC legend feels that Lampard would still be a great fit for the Stamford Bridge outfit despite his lack of experience in the dugout.
Speaking in an interview quoted by the Daily Star, Drogba said: “I think it [Lampard] is a very good option for the club.
“He has done well with Derby, you know, taking the team to the play-off final and I think it is a very good option for the club.”
Drogba continued: “Does he have to wait until he is 40 or 50 to be ready?
“I think it depends on your experience and depends on your desire to succeed and do it.
“If he feels ready I don’t think it is too early.”
Chelsea FC enjoyed a strong season under Maurizio Sarri, finishing third in the Premier League table and winning the Europa League under the Italian.
The west London side will be eager to reestablish themselves as one of the major forces in the Premier League in the coming seasons as they look to win the title for the first time since their last triumph under Antonio Conte in 2017.
