Eden Hazard has admitted that winning the Europa League would be a fitting farewell to Chelsea FC ahead of Wednesday’s showdown with Arsenal.

The Blues are preparing to take on the Gunners in Baku on Wednesday night as they bid to end the campaign on a high by winning a trophy.

Chelsea FC have already booked their place in the Champions League for next season thanks to their third-placed finish in the Premier League this term.

Hazard’s future continues to be a source of speculation, with the 28-year-old having strongly been linked with a move to Real Madrid as the clock ticks down on his Chelsea FC contract.

Now, the playmaker has admitted that lifting the Europa League trophy in what could be his final game for the club would be a fitting farewell.

Speaking in an interview quoted by The Sun, Hazard said: “I just want to win the trophy that is it, it does not matter if I score or not.

“If it is my last game I hope to bring the trophy.

“I don’t know when something happens. At the moment nothing is happening. So I can say nothing.”

Hazard is a key player for Chelsea FC and he has scored 19 goals and made 16 assists in all competitions for the Blues heading into Wednesday night’s game.

Chelsea FC are aiming to end Maurizio Sarri’s first campaign in charge with a trophy after they lost to Manchester City in the League Cup final.
