Gary Neville admits that Eden Hazard looked helpless after Chelsea FC's 1-0 loss to Manchester City

Gary Neville has admitted that Eden Hazard looked “helpless” during Chelsea FC’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
The 27-year-old cut a stranded figure as he was deployed up front by Antonio Conte alone but struggled to make an impact on the game due to a lack of service from his team-mates.
It’s not the first time that the Blues opted to play without a striker and chose instead to use Hazard up front for the west London side.
However, former Manchester United defender Neville feels that the Belgian playmaker’s talent was wasted during the Blues’ disappointing loss to Manchester City, as Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game in the second half.
Speaking on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Neville said: “In the end it was a game of frustration where they were booting it clear to a helpless Hazard up front.
“The players are lacking in confidence at Chelsea.”
Hazard will be hoping to help Chelsea FC return to winning ways on Saturday evening when the Blues host Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side are facing an uphill struggled to try and get back into the top four this season, with the Blues currently five points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with nine games left to play.
Chelsea FC won the Premier League last term but did not have the distraction on any European football.
