Antonio Rudiger admits his surprise at how well Chelsea FC have started the new season under Maurizio Sarri

Antonio Rudiger has admitted his surprise at how well Chelsea FC have started the new season under Maurizio Sarri.
The Blues boss was brought in as the club’s new manager back in July after Chelsea FC opted to sack Antonio Conte.
The Italian manager has been getting to grips with life at Stamford Bridge and has been earning lots of praise for the immediate impact he has had at the west London club.
Sarri’s side have managed to notch up a 100 per cent record in the Premier League so far this season by winning all four of their opening games in the top flight.
And Chelsea FC defender Rudiger has admitted that the Blues’ form has come as something of a surprise to him, because so many of the club’s players were involved in the World Cup.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Rudiger said: “To be honest, I’m surprised how well we’ve done because players like Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante had big World Cups and came back late for training.
“They are in good shape and that’s impressive.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they take on Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season under Conte.
