FC Barcelona are likely to complete a big-money deal to sign Willian from Chelsea FC this summer, according to transfer insider Ian McGarry.
The Brazilian’s future at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of speculation this summer due to his lack of playing time under Antonio Conte last term.
Manchester United have long been credited with an interest in signing Willian, and FC Barcelona have also been touted as a possible destination for the attacker in recent weeks.
Willian is currently on his summer holidays after the World Cup and he will report back to Chelsea FC in the coming days for his first taste of life under new manager Maurizio Sarri.
Now, football consultant McGarry has claimed that Willian is likely to move to FC Barcelona in a £65m deal, and that Chelsea FC are looking at signing Wilfried Zaha as a possible replacement.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, McGarry said: “Barcelona will eventually get Willian for around £65m.
“Who will they replace him with? They’re talking about Zaha. Is he really good enough to replace a player in the Brazil squad?”
Chelsea FC completed their first signing of the summer earlier this month when they tied up a deal to bring Jorginho to the club from Napoli.
The west London side will be aiming to at least break back into the top four next season after they finished in fifth place last term.
