Frank Lampard tells Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater they can both leave Chelsea FC this summer, claim reports

Frank Lampard has told Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater that they can leave Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Chelsea FC boss has told both of the midfielders that they are no longer needed at Stamford Bridge and that they can depart the west London club.
According to the same story, Lampard made the decision after having assessed the duo during the club’s pre-season tour of Japan.
The Blues cannot sign any new players this summer, but the same story says that Lampard is aiming to “trim” his squad down this summer.
The article says that Lampard now views both midfielders as surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge as he prepares for his first season in charge of the west London club.
Bakayoko was loaned out to Monaco last season, while Drinkwater has only made 23 appearances for Chelsea FC since his move from Leicester City.
Chelsea FC will begin their Premier League campaign with a tricky trip to Manchester United on Sunday 11 August as they aim to build on their third placed finish under Maurizio Sarri last term.
Sarri led the Blues to Europa League glory last season.
