Maurizio Sarri reacts to Eden Hazard’s display in Chelsea FC’s 3-0 win at Huddersfield
Maurizio Sarri has his say on Eden Hazard's performance in Chelsea FC's 3-0 win at Huddersfield

Maurizio Sarri praised Eden Hazard for his solid performance after he came off the bench to help Chelsea FC claim a 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The Blues kicked off their Premier League campaign under their new boss with a comfortable win, as goals from N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Pedro Rodriguez wrapped up the three points for the west London side.
Hazard has only recently returned to Chelsea FC to begin pre-season training after his extended summer break following his involvement in the World Cup with Belgium.
However, the 27-year-old looked sharp when he came on to help the west London side kick off their campaign with a win.
Speaking at his post-match news conference, Sarri praised Hazard but admitted that it’s going to take some time for him to get his fitness levels up to scratch.
Sarri said after the game: “I think Eden at this moment cannot play for 90 minutes. He has to improve and train. The best thing for him to do is play 15-20 minutes when the opponents are tired.
“We are lucky now because for three or four weeks we can work with one match a week, so we have to improve in this month, then it will be difficult, with three matches in a week, but I hope to improve the team.”
Hazard’s future at Chelsea FC has been a source of speculation this summer but it seems that the playmaker is set to stay at the west London club for another season.
He has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid and his current contract at Stamford Bridge is due to expire in 2020.
