Maurizio Sarri reacts to Eden Hazard’s display in Chelsea FC’s 2-1 win at Newcastle
Maurizio Sarri praises Eden Hazard for his performance in Chelsea FC's 2-1 win over Newcastle United

Maurizio Sarri insisted that he was delighted by Eden Hazard’s performance as Chelsea FC sealed a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Blues made it three wins in a row in the top flight to continue their solid start to the season under new boss Sarri as they moved up into second place in the table.
Hazard gave Chelsea FC the lead when he converted his penalty in the 76th minute at St James’ Park, before Joselu equalised for the home side.
However, Chelsea FC managed to claim the three points and another win under Sarri when Marcos Alonso’s shot took a deflection off DeAndre Yedlin and went in in the 87th minute.
Hazard has been working his way back to full fitness for the Blues after being given an extended summer holiday following his involvement in the World Cup with Belgium.
And Sarri says that he has been delighted by what he has seen from the Belgian playmaker so far this season.
Speaking during his post-match news conference about Hazard’s display, Sarri said: “I think he played very well, maybe it’s better for him at this moment to only play 70 or 75 minutes but after the first goal Kovacic asked to be substituted, so for me it was impossible to let him rest.”
Chelsea FC will look to make it four wins in a row in the Premier League when they take on Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
