Chelsea FC to bid for 25-year-old if key man leaves – report
Chelsea FC will make Jack Butland their transfer priority this summer, according to reports

Chelsea FC will make Jack Butland their transfer priority this summer if Thibaut Courtois ends up leaving Stamford Bridge, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Blues are likely to turn their attentions towards signing the Stoke City goalkeeper if Courtois leaves the club before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Courtois’ future has been a relentless source of uncertainty this summer as the shot-stopper only has one year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a transfer to Real Madrid in recent weeks and it remains to be seen whether he will end up leaving the west London club.
Now, the same report says that Chelsea FC will likely turn to 25-year-old Stoke man Butland should Courtois indeed complete a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are reluctant to consider selling Courtois until they have been able to secure a suitable replacement for the talented Belgian goalkeeper.
Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their first Premier League game of the season when they take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The Blues have so far only signed Rob Green and Jorginho this summer.
