Jody Morris: 27-year-old is Chelsea FC’s ‘most gifted’ ever player
Jody Morris has his say on Eden Hazard's brilliant start to the new season with Chelsea FC

Jody Morris has described Eden Hazard as Chelsea FC’s “most gifted” ever player following his brilliant form for the Blues this season.
The 27-year-old has hit the ground running under new manager Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge after captaining Belgium to a third-place finish at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Hazard has already scored six goals and made two assists in all competitions so far this season – and he came off the bench to net a superb solo goal in Chelsea FC’s 2-1 win over Liverpool FC in the League Cup third round on Wednesday night at Anfield.
The attacker will be expecting to start for the Blues when they welcome Liverpool FC to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League clash at Anfield on Saturday.
And former Chelsea FC man Morris feels that Hazard is the most talented player to ever wear a Blues shirt.
Speaking to Sky Sports after Wednesday’s win at Anfield, Morris said: “I think he’s probably the most gifted player to ever play for Chelsea. He wins games on his own.
“I think he has won more games than Zola did and he has scored some outrageous goals. Look at what he’s won at the club in terms of leagues and with teams that weren’t really up there with previous Chelsea teams, but with him in your team.
“For me, Eden Hazard is the most gifted. Whether he is the best, I don’t know. I think Frank Lampard and John Terry are pretty difficult to bypass.”
Chelsea FC are currently two points behind Liverpool FC in the Premier League table.
The Blues know that a victory over Jurgen Klopp’s men would move them a point ahead of Liverpool FC as the Premier League title race begins to gather pace.
