New Chelsea FC signing explains why he chose shirt number
Jorginho lifts the lid on why he chose the number five squad for Chelsea FC after his move to Stamford Bridge

Jorginho has lifted the lid on why he chose the number five squad number for Chelsea FC following his move to Stamford Bridge.
The Brazil born Italy international is settling into his new surroundings at Stamford Bridge after having signed for the Blues from Napoli as their first recruit of the summer last weekend.
Jorginho followed manager Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge as the Italian manager looks to build a team capable of breaking back into the top four next term.
The midfielder will wear the number five shirt for the Blues next season and Jorginho has now revealed just why he has picked that number.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Jorginho said: “I think it is a strong number, and in Brazilian football it is a number that is well-respected and has an important place in the history of football, but above all it is just a number I like.
“I think it is a beautiful number. And also because great players in the past like Falcao from Brazil wore it.”
Sarri has been tasked with steering Chelsea FC at least back into the top four next season.
The west London club finished in fifth place in the Premier League table as they missed out on Champions League qualification in Antonio Conte’s second campaign at the club.
However, they did end the season on a high when they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final back in May to win their second major trophy under the Italian manager.
