Pundit claims Antonio Conte ‘hurt’ Jose Mourinho with Chelsea FC success
Dennis Wise discusses why he thinks Jose Mourinho has been hurt by Antonio Conte's success at Chelsea FC

Dennis Wise believes that Jose Mourinho was “hurt” to see Antonio Conte bring success to Chelsea FC in his first campaign in charge last season.
The Italian manager led the west London side to the Premier League title in his first campaign in charge last term as he enjoyed an instant impact following his move to the club.
Conte was brought in as Mourinho’s permanent successor at Stamford Bridge last season after the Portuguese coach was sacked as manager back in December 2015 by the west London side.
Mourinho has since gone on to take over at Old Trafford and he and Conte have shared a was of words throughout the campaign.
And former Chelsea FC star Wise believes that the explanation for the animosity between the pair is a simple one.
Speaking on The Debate on Sky Sports, Wise said: “Conte won the league with the group of players that Mourinho had. He changed the system. He gave Chelsea something different that Mourinho hadn’t given.
“That hurt Mourinho. He loved Chelsea.”
Chelsea FC were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon to damage their top four hopes.
The west London side are now in fifth place in the Premier League table as they at least try to finish in the top four in Conte’s second campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge.
