New Chelsea FC signing expresses delight at signing seven-year contract
Kepa Arrizabalaga expresses his delight at signing a seven-year contract with Chelsea FC

Kepa Arrizabalaga has expressed his delight at signing a seven-year contract with Chelsea FC following his transfer to the west London club from Athletic Bilbao.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper was confirmed as the Blues’ third signing of the summer on Wednesday night after the west London side agreed to sell Thibaut Courtois to Real Madird.
Chelsea FC moved quickly to bring in a new shot-stopper after Courtois finally completed his move to Real Madrid following months of speculation about his future.
The west London side have opted to give Kepa a staggeringly long contract at Stamford Bridge as they presumably bid to avoid a situation similar to what happened with Courtois’ contract.
Now, the Spanish goalkeeper has expressed his happiness at penning his deal with the west London side this week.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website: “It’s a very important decision for me, for my career, and also for my personal life.
“So many things attracted me to the club, all the titles the club has won, the other players, the city, the English Premier League.
“It’s an accumulation of things, and I am very glad Chelsea has decided to trust me and to take me in as well.”
Kepa could make his debut for Chelsea FC when the Blues take on Huddersfield Town in their first Premier League game of the season on Saturday.
Maurizio Sarri has been tasked with steering the Blues back into the top four next season after they ended up in fifth place and won the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last term.
