Frank Lampard issues Chelsea FC injury update on Mason Mount
Chelsea FC boss Frank Lampard is hopeful that Mason Mount's injury is not too serious

Frank Lampard is hopeful that the injury sustained by Mason Mount during Chelsea FC’s 3-2 win at Norwich City on Saturday is not too serious.
The Chelsea FC boss watched his side claim their first Premier League win of the season on Saturday lunchtime when they triumphed in an entertaining game at Carrow Road.
Two goals from Tammy Abraham and one from Mount handed Lampard’s men all three points and got their campaign off to a solid start after a defeat and a draw in their opening two games.
Mount was forced off in the second half of Saturday’s clash with a calf strain, but Blues boss Lampard is hopeful that the problem will not keep him sidelined for too long.
Speaking in an interview quoted by Metro after the game, Lampard said: “Mason took a knock to his calf, so that is better than a strain, obviously.
“So hopefully in a couple of days it will settle down, so hopefully that is good news. We will assess it.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action next weekend when they host Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are aiming to at least maintain their place in the top four this season after they finished in third place and won the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri last term.
Chelsea FC have not won the Premier League title since their triumph in 2017 under Antonio Conte.
