Sid Lowe delivers update on Real Madrid’s hopes of signing Chelsea FC star
Sid Lowe says Real Madrid are in with a good chance of being able to sign Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea FC

Sid Lowe believes that Real Madrid are in with a good chance of being able to sign Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea FC this summer.
The Belgian goalkeeper’s situation at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of speculation this summer, with the shot-stopper having just one year left to run on his current deal with the Blues.
If Courtois is not going to sign a new contract, Chelsea FC will be likely to want to cash-in on the goalkeeper this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.
The shot-stopper is believed to be a firm target for Real Madrid as the Spanish side gear up for life after Zinedine Zidane.
And Spanish football expert Lowe has underlined his belief that a deal for Courtois to move to Stamford Bridge is looking more likely than ever.
Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, Lowe said: “Courtois has 12 months left on his contract so that makes it a little bit easier.
“He has always been relatively vocal in his desire to return to Madrid.”
Chelsea FC are currently gearing up for life under their new manager Maurizio Sarri after he was appointed as the club’s new manager last weekend.
The Blues moved quickly to bring in midfielder Jorginho as their first signing of the summer last weekend as Sarri looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
