Roy Keane blasts ‘shocking’ Chelsea FC players
Roy Keane has not been particularly impressed by the behaviour of the Chelsea FC team in recent months
Roy Keane has criticised Chelsea FC’s players for their poor form after having won the Premier League title in recent seasons.
The Blues have been in stuttering form in recent weeks, heaping pressure on Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.
Conte’s men did finally return to winning ways in the Premier League on Monday night when they sealed a 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge.
That win followed surprise defeats by both Bournemouth and Watford and left their hopes of finishing in the top four in doubt.
Jose Mourinho was famously sacked in December 2015, less than six months after having led the west London side to the Premier League title following their dramatic slump in form.
And former Manchester United midfielder Keane is clearly not impressed by the attitudes of the Chelsea FC players in recent seasons.
Speaking to ITV Sport, Keane said: “These Chelsea lads are so unprofessional. When they go and win the league and the last few years, they downed tools under different managers.
“It’s shocking behaviour.”
Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their FA Cup fifth-round clash against Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.
The Blues won the Premier League title in style last season but missed out on a domestic double when they were beaten by Arsenal in the FA Cup final back in May.
