Ruben Loftus-Cheek sends message to Chelsea FC fans
Ruben Loftus-Cheek admits his delight at having signed a new contract with Chelsea FC

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has admitted his delight at signing a new contract with Chelsea FC.
The England midfielder has put pen to paper on a new deal with the west London club to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2024.
Loftus-Cheek opted to sign a new deal just days after Chelsea FC appointed Frank Lampard as their new manager on a three-year contract.
The 23-year-old scored six goals and made two assists in 24 Premier League appearances for Chelsea FC last season.
And the midfielder has now expressed his delight at having committed his long-term future to the west London club.
Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Loftus-Cheek said: “I’m really happy and pleased that I get to stay here for another five years. It’s the place where I’ve grown up playing and hopefully I’ll be playing here for a lot longer.
“At eight or nine years old, of course you never think you’ll be here for so long because you just want to enjoy yourself and play with your friends.
“When I look back and see how the hard work has paid off, it’s a good feeling. That only makes me want to work harder to achieve more in the future.
“I hope to win a lot more trophies with the team and personally it’s just about trying to do as well as I can and work hard to be a key player for Chelsea.”
Chelsea FC are currently banned from signing new players as they serve a two-transfer window suspension handed to them by Fifa.
The west London side managed to sign Mateo Kovacic on a permanent transfer from Real Madrid and they have also been joined by Christian Pulisic, who signed for the Blues from Borussia Dortmund in January.
Chelsea FC will be looking to challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished third and won the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri last term.
