Chelsea FC suffer blow in bid to sign 24-year-old – report
Chelsea FC have suffered a blow to their hopes of signing Daniele Rugani from Juventus, say reports

Chelsea FC have suffered a blow to their hopes of signing Daniele Rugani from Juventus after he turned down the offer of a contract from the Blues, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian outlet Tuttosport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Rugani turned down the offer of a €20m (£17.8m) deal from Chelsea FC in order to stay with the Serie A champions.
According to the same report, the Italian defender never wanted to leave Juventus this summer and was prepared to snub a significant pay-rise from Chelsea FC in order to stay in Turin.
Chelsea FC have been strongly linked with a move to sign Rugani all summer but it would appear that their efforts are set to end in disappointing.
The west London side are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and add to their squad before the close of the transfer window on Thursday.
The Blues have so far only brought in Jorginho and Rob Green ahead of Maurizio Sarri’s first season in charge of the west London club.
Chelsea FC ended up in fifth place in the table last term and they will be looking to try and break back into the top four this season under Sarri.
