Maurizio Sarri talks up Eden Hazard's importance to the Chelsea FC team
Maurizio Sarri has talked up Eden Hazard’s importance to the Chelsea FC team after the Belgian helped to fire the Blues to a 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Hazard netted in the 85th minute for the west London side after Pedro Rodriguez had given Sarri’s men the lead in the 72nd minute at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea FC have been in good form so far this season under their new manager and they have won all four of their opening four Premier League games.
Hazard’s future at Chelsea FC was a constant source of speculation throughout the summer transfer window but he ended up staying at the west London club.
The 27-year-old will now be hoping to win his third Premier League title with Chelsea FC as he bids to try and help Sarri’s men enjoy a successful campaign.
And Blues manager Sarri has admitted that he has been delighted by what he has seen from Hazard so far this season.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Saturday, Sarri said: “I don’t know if we are able to win something this season, but Eden Hazard is very important to us,
“In the first half it was very difficult to play – we needed to move the ball at a higher speed – but it wasn’t easy.
“We needed more movement without the ball, but I think we did well.
“I’m really very happy with my players at the moment. I don’t want to think about the last four matches – it’s better to think about the next one.”
Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they host Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge.
