The Independent is reporting that the Blues are monitoring the situation of the midfielder at Lazio ahead of a potential move to sign him this summer.
The same article says that Chelsea FC will try to make a move to sign the midfielder should any of their rivals step up their interest in the Serbia international.
According to the same report Milinkovic-Savic’s performances have been attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid this summer.
Now, it is being claimed that Chelsea FC could try and make a move to bring the 23-year-old to Stamford Bridge as they try to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
The same story says that Manchester United had been close to completing a deal to sign Milinkovic-Savic before the World Cup, but the asking price and complications with his Lazio contract put them off.
The same issues are said to have so far prevented Chelsea FC from making a move, but the Blues could swoop knowing that the midfielder would be a potential replacement for Eden Hazard, who continued to be linked with Real Madrid.
