Tiemoue Bakayoko has revealed that he would love to play for Paris Saint-Germain but that he is fully expecting a return to Chelsea FC this summer.

The 24-year-old midfielder spent last season on loan to AC Milan, where he scored one goal and made one assist in 31 Serie A games.

Bakayoko is now set to return to his parent club this summer, although his long-term future at Chelsea FC appears to be unclear.

The midfielder signed for Chelsea FC back in 2017 but failed to live up to expectations in the following season and was subsequently loaned out last term.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the France international, but it would be fair to say that Bakayoko seems unsure about his situation at the west London club.

Speaking in an interview with French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by Goal, Bakayoko said: “Yes, for sure, one day I would like to play in Paris.

“I cannot lie about it. It’s big for me and my loved ones. We are real Parisians.”

He continued: “My future? Yes, I will go back to Chelsea. I still have a three-year contract.

“I have no choice. I don’t know what will happen after that but I have to go back to Chelsea. It is the only thing I know.”

Chelsea FC are currently in the midst of an appeal lodged with the Court of Arbitration for Sport over their two-transfer window ban from Fifa.

The west London club finished in third place in the Premier League table last season under Maurizio Sarri, and they also beat Arsenal in the Europa League final.
