Chelsea FC submit £52m offer for top 25-year-old Serie A striker – report
Chelsea FC have launched a huge offer for Inter Milan skipper Mauro Icardi, according to a report

Chelsea FC have made a £52m offer to sign Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish newspaper AS, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that the defending Premier League champions have submitted a huge offer to sign the Inter skipper.
The same article states that Chelsea FC are likely to face competition from La Liga giants Real Madrid for the 25-year-old striker.
The Spanish media outfit claim that Real Madrid are very interested in the Argentina international following his prolific Serie A season.
However, the story goes on to reveal that los Blancos still haven’t submitted a bid for Icardi to leave the door ajar for Chelsea FC to land Icardi.
AS expect Inter to reject Chelsea FC’s offer in an attempt to start a bidding war between the Premier League side and Real Madrid, as well as other potential suitors.
Icardi has scored an incredible 22 goals in 24 games in Serie A this season as Inter look to wrap up a top-four finish and a Champions League spot.
Chelsea FC have signed 16 players since Italian head coach Antonio Conte took over the reins in 2016.
The Blues will take on Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley next month.
