Journalist claims Real Madrid ‘preparing’ Chelsea FC star to fight for move
Real Madrid want to sign Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to Duncan Castles

Real Madrid have stepped up their interest in Chelsea FC forward Eden Hazard this summer, according to Sunday Times reporter Duncan Castles.
The Champions League holders are set to shelve plans to sign Brazil international Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
France’s World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe appears set to remain at Parc des Princes following his hero status after the triumph in Russia.
Real Madrid are desperate to complete a marquee signing following Cristiano Ronaldo’s switch to Serie A champions Juventus earlier this month.
Sunday Times reporter Castles believes Real Madrid are set to make a bid for Hazard after giving up on their hopes of signing Neymar or Mbappe.
“Hazard is third choice,” Castles told the Transfer Window podcast.
“He is a player they have been talking to for years but never actually done anything concrete about it in terms of making a bid for Chelsea.
“You can see they are now preparing for Hazard to fight for a move.”
The Blues forward is facing an uncertain future at the west London side given the Belgian forward has 24 months left to run on his current deal.
Chelsea FC are facing speculation linking Hazard with a potential move to La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid this summer.
Hazard has made no secret of his desire to play for Real Madrid given the Chelsea FC star is a boyhood los Blancos fan.
The 27-year-old has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League, the FA Cup and the League Cup at Chelsea FC.
