Chelsea FC are leading Arsenal in the race to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is claiming that the Blues are now the bookmakers’ favourites to sign the 26-year-old defender this summer as the west London side look to shore up their rearguard.
The same report says that Koulibaly has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but it seems that a switch could now well be on the cards this summer.
According to the same story, Koulibaly has been attracting interest from Arsenal and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
But it would seem that Chelsea FC are leading the hunt of the English clubs looking to land the Senegal international in the summer.
The central defender has been in good form for Napoli so far this season, scoring four goals and making one assist in 26 Serie A appearances for the Serie A side.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their home Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
The Blues head into the game looking to return to winning ways after having lost four of their last five games in the top flight.
