Chelsea FC to spend world record £71m fee on 23-year-old – report
Chelsea FC are ready to make Athletic Bilbao's Kepa Arrizabalaga the most expensive goalkeeper in the world, according to a report

Chelsea FC have agreed a world record £71m fee for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to a report in England.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Blues are set to make Kepa the most expensive goalkeeper in the world less than a fortnight after Liverpool FC signed Alisson Becker in a £67m transfer from Serie A giants AS Roma.
The same article states the Blues are desperate to sign a goalkeeper to replace Thibaut Courtois as the Belgium international looks to force through a move to Champions League holders Real Madrid.
According to the same story, the west London side would be able to invest the summer budget in the Athletic goalkeeper given Real Madrid are ready to send Croatia international Mateo Kovavic on loan to the Stamford Bridge side to address another area that needs investment.
Chelsea FC will complete deals for Kepa and Kovavic on Thursday in what promises to be a frantic end to the summer transfer window for the Blues, the Daily Telegraph adds.
The west London side finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season to eventually culminate in Antonio Conte’s dismissal last month.
His replacement Maurizio Sarri has signed Napoli midfielder Jorginho and veteran England goalkeeper Rob Green this summer.
