Ian Wright praises Chelsea FC for world record signing
The Arsenal legend praises Chelsea FC's decision to sign Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga

Ian Wright has praised Chelsea FC’s willingness to spend a world record fee for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The Blues were in the market to sign a new shot stopper in the summer transfer window to replace Real Madrid target Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgium international finally completed a move to los Blancos in a £31m deal to leave a void in Maurizio Sarri’s team.
Chelsea FC wasted no time activating Kepa’s £71m contract release clause to make the Spain number two the world’s most expensive goalkeeper.
Kepa kept a clean sheet in Chelsea FC’s 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town in their Premier League opener on Saturday afternoon.
Former Arsenal striker Wright issued his backing for Chelsea FC’s fourth signing of the 2018 summer transfer window.
“He had a £71m buyout clause on him,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“It is a ridiculous figure. If someone pays it, you can’t say it’s Kepa’s faul. I admire how Chelsea have gone and got him. It’s good business.
“They had to get it done.”
Kepa made 53 appearances for Athletic Bilbao since breaking into the Chelsea FC first team.
The Blues have also signed Napoli star Jorginho, veteran English goalkeeper Rob Green and Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a spot in the Champions League.
