Real Madrid interested in deal to sign 27-year-old Chelsea FC star – report
Real Madrid are interested in a potential swoop to sign Chelsea FC defender Marcos Alonso, according to a report

Chelsea FC are facing interest from Real Madrid in Spanish full-back Marcos Alonso, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that los Blancos are keen on a deal to sign Alonso before the close of the summer transfer window in Spain.
The same article states that Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui is interested in Alonso despite ommitting the Chelsea FC left-back from his World Cup squad.
According to the same story, Maurizio Sarri would be reluctant to sell Alonso given the full-back’s impressive start under Antonio Conte’s replacement.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.
Alonso could be tempted by Real Madrid’s interest given the 27-year-old could feature for the Champions League holders in Europe’s premier club competition.
The former Bolton Wanderers defender moved to Chelsea FC in a £24m deal from Serie A side Fiorentina following Conte’s appointment in 2016.
Chelsea FC were 3-0 winners against Huddersfield Town in their Premier League opener last weekend.
The Blues will host Arsenal in their next Premier League fixture on Saturday evening.
