Maurizio Sarri sends message to Chelsea FC board about his future
Maurizio Sarri appears to indicate that he wants to remain at Chelsea FC after their Europa League success

Maurizio Sarri believes that he deserves to remain in charge of Chelsea FC.
The Italian head coach ended his first season on a positive note after Chelsea FC were 4-1 winners against Arsenal in the Europa League final on Wednesday night.
Goals from Eden Hazard, Pedro Rodriguez and Olivier Giroud sealed a resounding victory over their bitter London rivals in Baku.
Sarri led Chelsea FC to a third-placed finish in the Premier League this season to ensure a return to the Champions League before their Europa League success.
The former Napoli manager should be able to reflect on a top-four finish and a major trophy as a successful debut campaign at the west London side.
However, Sarri is contending with speculation surrounding his future at Stamford Bridge, with the likes of Serie A champions Juventus thought to be interested in his services.
Speaking to at his media conference after Chelsea FC’s rout of Arsenal, Sarri gave his clearest indication yet that he wants to remain in charge of the Stamford Bridge outfit.
“I need to talk to the club and make sure I know what I can do for Chelsea and what Chelsea can do for me,” said Sarri.
“I love the Premier League and I’m lucky I’m at Chelsea but at the end of each season you have to sit down and talk.
“In my opinion, I deserve to stay at Chelsea but my opinion is not enough.”
Chelsea FC appointed Sarri as their manager last summer after Antonio Conte could only lead the west London side to a fifth-placed finish in the 2017-18 season.
The Blues haven’t won the Premier League title since 2016-17 when the former Juve boss secured the top-flight crown in his first season in charge.
