Chelsea FC are poised to re-sign Romelu Lukaku in a £95m deal from Inter Milan in the 2021 summer transfer window, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Blues are expected to agree to a deal with the San Siro outfit in the next 24 hours to secure the Belgium international’s return to Stamford Bridge.
The same article states that Chelsea FC are believed to be offering Inter a transfer fee worth £95m plus add-ons for the former Manchester United centre-forward.
According to the same story, Inter have set Sunday as a deadline for Chelsea FC to get a deal over the line for the 28-year-old so the Serie A side can line up a replacement.
The report goes on to add that Lukaku is set to pocket a salary worth around £350,000 a week at the Champions League winners if the Belgian forward does return to Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mail reveals that Chelsea FC could still try to offer a player as part of a makeweight in a deal for Lukaku but Inter Milan would prefer to receive straight-up cash.
Lukaku scored 24 goals in 36 games in Serie A last season to help fire the Milan side to their first Italian top-flight crown since 2010.
