Chelsea must learn to support Torres’ game, says Mourinho
Jose Mourinho says Chelsea need to "learn how to play" with Fernando Torres to help the striker improve his form in front of goal

Jose Mourinho admits that Chelsea need to “learn how to play” with Fernando Torres to help the striker improve his form in front of goal.
The Spanish striker has struggled to find consistent goal-scoring form since leaving Anfield to join the Blues back in January 2011.
However, Mourinho is confident that his side will adapt their style of play to ensure that the 29-year-old is at his best in the forthcoming season.
“I don’t know if it’s confidence. I feel the guy is highly motivated, he works very hard,” said Mourinho after watching Torres miss a late chance in Thursday’s 2-0 friendly win over Inter Milan.
“I think some of the work we do with the team in terms of attack suits his qualities. So let’s see what happens. we are here to support him. Usually when he is clear, he scores that goal, but he’s missed. We know that this is Torres’s game. We want the team not to learn how to play with him, but to improve how to play with him.
“He is working very hard in training, we are happy with him. Will I try to re-model his game? Not his game, his game is impossible to remodel. But we want to adapt the team and teach the team how to use his best qualities because his game is his game.
“He is what he is and he is very good with the qualities that he’s got. So we need to learn and support his game.”
