Frank Lampard says he wants to extend his career by another four years after becoming Chelsea’s record goal-scorer at Villa Park on Saturday.

The 34-year-old netted twice in the second half to fire the Blues to a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa and all but secure the west London outfit’s place in next season’s Champions League.

Lampard, whose Chelsea contract is set to expire at the end of the season, eclipsed Bobby Tambling’s tally of 202 goals for the club.

And the Blues playmaker wants to emulate Manchester United duo Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes by playing into his late thirties.

“I’d love to carry on as long as I feel I can do and I feel I’m fit,” said Lampard, who has now scored 203 goals for Chelsea.

“I’d love to do that, for another three or four years. I’d love to emulate those boys.

“Ryan Giggs [has] got an aura around him. All the players at the club look up to him. He’s the mark.”

Lampard has scored 15 goals in 28 Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season.
