Antonio Conte sends message to Chelsea fans about Alvaro Morata fitness
The Chelsea boss provides an update on the future of Alvaro Morata

Antonio Conte is confident Alvaro Morata is making a good recovery from a back concern ahead of Chelsea’s home clash against Bournemouth in the League Cup on Wednesday night.
The Blues signed Morata in a £58m deal from La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer transfer window to bolster Conte’s attacking options.
The Spain international has scored nine goals and has made four assists in 16 appearances in the Premier League this term.
Morata sat out Chelsea’s 3-1 win at Huddersfield Town and a 1-0 victory over Southampton in the Premier League to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier in December.
The 24-year-old striker will host Bournemouth in their next game in the Carabao Cup before the Chelsea star make the trip to Everton in their next Premier League game on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to Chelsea’s pre-match media conference ahead of the visit of the Cherries at Stamford Bridge in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night, Conte provided an update on Morata’s fitness but confirmed Michy Batshuayi will start in the cup clash.
“Morata is okay. He had a problem with his back before the West Ham game but he is working very well, he’s finding his best form but tomorrow I want to give a chance to Batshuayi,” Conte said.
Chelsea are in third place in the Premier League table but 14 points behind current leaders Manchester City.
The Blues signed six players in the summer transfer window.
