Nathan Ake sends message to Chelsea supporters about Andreas Christensen
The Dutch defender isn't surprised by Andreas Christensen's success at Chelsea this season

Nathan Ake admits he isn’t surprised that Andreas Christensen has proven such a big hit at Chelsea this season.
The Danish defender has managed to establish himself as a first-team regular under Chelsea manager Antonio Conte in the 2017-18 season so far.
Indeed, the Blues boss has placed his faith in the 21-year-old following his return from a two-season loan spell at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer.
Christensen has even managed to dislodge Champions League and Premier League winner David Luiz to earn a spot in Conte’s starting line-up.
The Dane earned rave reviews for a composed performance in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over title rivals Manchester United at Stamford Bridge back in October.
Christensen has made 15 appearances in the Premier League this season to help the Blues challenge for a top-four spot.
His former Chelsea team-mate Ake completed a permanent move to Bournemouth in the summer, citing a lack of first-team opportunities.
However, the Dutch defender isn’t surprised to see Christensen to prove such a success at Stamford Bridge despite his lack of Premier League experience.
Asked during an interview with London Evening Standard whether he was surprised by Christensen’s impact, Ake replied: “No.
“Everyone knew, also at the Academy, how good he was. And when he went on loan he done really well, and has been doing well in the national team so I wasn’t surprised.
“He’s a really good player.”
Chelsea have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under Jose Mourinho and then Antonio Conte.
