Pat Nevin names Antonio Conte’s ‘go-to-guys’ at Chelsea right now
The Chelsea legend hails the influence of Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata

Pat Nevin has hailed Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata as Antonio Conte’s “go-to-guys” at Chelsea right now.
The defending Premier League champions made a conspicuous start to Saturday’s early kick-off when English striker Dwight Gayle broke the deadlock in the 11th minute at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea forward Hazard levelled the Premier League clash a mere eight minutes later when the Belgium forward rifled a finish into the Newcastle net to ease nerves in west London.
Nigeria international Victor Moses produced a brilliant cross to allow Morata to score his ninth Premier League goal of the 2017-18 season to give Chelsea a slender lead.
Moses won a 77th minute penalty to give Hazard the chance to extend the home side’s lead and the Belgian forward dinked his finish from the spot to highlight his confidence levels.
Hazard and Morata have scored a combined eight goals and three assists in their last six Premier League games to extend their unbeaten run to seven outings.
Former Chelsea winger Nevin believes Hazard and Morata are Conte’s key players following their prolific spell in the Premier League over the past two months.
“They are the go-to guys right now and they certainly aren’t letting anyone down, scoring all three goals between them on Saturday,” Nevin told Chelsea’s website.
“When you consider that they are a fairly new partnership, there is no doubt they are striking fear into the hearts of every defence they are set loose on while still surprising many.”
Chelsea have won two Premier League titles in the past three seasons.
