Eden Hazard sends message to Chelsea fans about title race
The Chelsea forward opens up about the title race following Saturday's 3-1 win over Newcastle

Eden Hazard has urged Chelsea to build on their winning run in the Premier League in an attempt to close the gap on leaders Manchester City.
The defending champions came from behind to ease to a 3-1 win against former manager Rafael Benitez and his Newcastle United side at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard cancelled out Dwight Gayle’s opener before summer signing Alvaro Morata edged the west London side’s into a narrow lead on Saturday afternoon.
Victor Moses won a 77th-minute penalty to allow Hazard to extend the home side’s lead to 3-1 and put pressure on Pep Guardiola’s men in the title race.
Chelsea have won six of their last seven Premier League games thanks to victories over Watford, Bournemouth, Manchester United, West Brom, Swansea City and Newcastle.
The Blues dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool FC at Anfield after Willian scored an 85th-minute equaliser to cancel out Mohamed Salah’s opener.
Speaking to Chelsea’s website about the title race after moving to within eight points of Manchester City ahead of the Citizens’ home clash against West Ham, Hazard said:
“We just keep doing what we are doing now. We are playing well, we are winning games and we just need them to lose points. We will see at the end of the season.”
Chelsea finished seven points clear of runners-up Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League title race last season.
