Chelsea manager Antonio Conte delivers the latest news on N'Golo Kante's hamstring injury

N’Golo Kante looks set to be out of action for a number of weeks with a hamstring injury, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed.
The midfielder suffered the problem while on international duty with France last week and he will now begin his recovery with his club.
Kante’s absence will come as a big blow to the west London side, with the midfielder having earned a reputation as one of the best in the world in his position.
Indeed, Kante was voted as the PFA player of the year last season as he helped Chelsea to win the Premier League title in Conte’s first campaign in charge at the club.
It remains to be seen exactly how long Kante will be out of action for but Conte admitted his disappointment at seeing the midfielder ruled out due to injury.
Speaking at a news conference before Chelsea’s clash with Crystal Palace, Conte said: “We are going to do a scan next week to check his situation to see if he is improving.
“For sure it is a muscular problem, a hamstring problem. This is a big loss for us. You know very well the importance of N’Golo Kante in our team. We don’t have another player with the same characteristics.
“We were not lucky in this period above all in midfield.”
Chelsea will be without Kante when the Blues return to Champions League action on Wednesday night with a crunch clash against Roma at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side have made a fine start to their European campaign this season, winning both of their opening group games against Qarabag and Atletico Madrid.
