Joe Cole: Why I’m not surprised Chelsea star is so clinical
The Chelsea legend heaps praise on former Barcelona winger Pedro for his clinical performance at Huddersfield on Tuesday night

Joe Cole admits he isn’t surprised that Pedro Rodriguez is such a clinical goal-scorer for Chelsea.
The Spain international scored Chelsea’s third goal in a 3-1 win at promoted side Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
Pedro pounced upon the loose ball in the area before he curled a delicious finish into the net to seal three points.
The 30-year-old has now scored three times in nine appearances in the Premier League this season.
Pedro has found his first-team opportunities limited under Antonio Conte with competition from Eden Hazard and Willian.
However, former Chelsea midfielder Cole has been impressed with Pedro’s impact at Stamford Bridge since his move from Barcelona in 2015.
“Pedro is very clinical in and around the box,” Cole told BT Sport.
“I remember Guardiola said he was the second best finisher at Barcelona. If you’re the second best at Barcelona then you’re doing well. It was a lovely little finish.”
Pedro has scored 19 times in 79 games in all competitions since his move to Chelsea from Barcelona in the 2015 summer transfer window.
While Jose Mourinho signed the Champions League winner, Pedro has produced his best form under Conte in the 2016-17 campaign.
Indeed, Pedro netted nine times in 35 appearances in Chelsea’s title-winning campaign under the Italian coach last term.
Chelsea are looking to win their third Premier League title in four seasons and back-to-back titles under Conte.
The Blues signed six players in the summer transfer window to add more depth to the Chelsea squad.
