Antonio Conte replies when asked if Chelsea will make signings in January
The Chelsea boss refuses to shed light on whether the defending champions will sign a new player in the January transfer window

Antonio Conte has refused to shed light on whether Chelsea will make any signings in the January transfer window.
The Chelsea boss led the west London side to Premier League title glory last season after finishing seven points clear of their closest challengers Tottenham Hotspur.
Conte signed six players in the summer transfer window to improve his squad depth ahead of a return to the Champions League but the Blues manager missed out on some top targets.
The defending champions have suffered surprise losses to Burnley, Crystal Palace and West Ham United in the Premier League this season to leave their title challenge in doubt.
Manchester City were 1-0 winners against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge thanks to Kevin De Bruyne’s winner against his former employers.
Unsurprisingly, Chelsea have been linked with a number of players ahead of the January transfer window.
The west London side will face La Liga giants Barcelona in the Champions League last 16 as Conte looks to win the competition as a manager for the first time.
Asked about potential Chelsea signings ahead of the January transfer window, Conte was tight-lipped following Tuesday night’s 3-1 win against Huddersfield Town.
“It is very important to win every game. It is very far [transfer window],” Conte said.
“In 20 days, we have to play seven games. We have to be focused like tonight.”
Chelsea have won two Premier League titles in their last three seasons.
