Romelu Lukaku sends message to Chelsea, Man United fans about future
The Everton striker addresses speculation surrounding his future amid reported interest from Chelsea and Manchester United
Romelu Lukaku says his agent knows what the striker wants to happen this summer amid transfer speculation linking the Everton star with a summer move.
The Belgium international finished as the Premier League’s second-highest goal-scorer in the 2016-17 season after a return of 24 goals in 36 appearances.
Lukaku’s electric form has prompted speculation that the Everton man could return to Premier League champions Chelsea under Antonio Conte in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United are rumoured to have made signing Lukaku a priority after the Red Devils ended their interest in Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann.
Lukaku, though, is feeling calm about his situation at Goodison Park and is confident that his agent can fulfil his wishes in the 2017 summer transfer window.
“My agent knows what’s going to happen,” Lukaku told Sky Sports News HQ.
“I know what I want to do, and whenever something happens, you guys will know.”
Lukaku moved to Everton in a permanent deal in 2014 after failing to secure a regular starting spot under Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
The Belgian star moved to the Premier League in 2011 when Chelsea signed the centre-forward in a big-money deal from Anderlecht.
