Cesar Azpilicueta sends Chelsea warning to Man City
Cesar Azpilicueta rates Chelsea's chances of catching Manchester City in the Premier League title race

Cesar Azpilicueta has warned Manchester City that Chelsea are still convinced that they can catch them in the race for the Premier League title this season.
The Blues find themselves in third place in the Premier League table after 18 games of the new campaign to leave them 14 points behind Manchester City.
Chelsea were the Premier League’s standout team last season as they won the title in style in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge at the club.
However, the Blues are clearly facing a serious uphill struggle in trying to retain their title this term, with Manchester City having only dropped two points so far.
Chelsea have won the Premier League title in two of the last three seasons, however, and will still be harbouring hopes of catching the runaway leaders.
And Azpilicueta has warned Manchester City that the Blues have no intentions of giving up hope of winning the title this term.
Azpilicueta is quoted as saying by Metro: “There is a possibility we can do it. We have to believe. When we were top of the table last season, you could feel that other teams kept winning and pushing us.
“It is true that what City are doing is unbelievable. They are breaking records — in our last 10 games, we have won eight, drawn one and lost one, yet we are further behind than before those 10 games started!
“It is difficult to analyse it in that way. We have to look at ourselves, keep going, and put the pressure on them.’ ‘Every game week, it is harder and harder, if they do not drop points. We have a busy period over Christmas and we have to keep playing as we are. We have to keep our consistency.
“We have won two Premier Leagues in the last three years. Manchester City are playing very well, scoring a lot of goals, and winning nearly every game.
“They are in a moment where everything goes well for them. They have achieved a high standard and we know every year is harder and harder – but we will have to raise our level to try to fight for it.”
Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime when they take on Everton at Goodison Park in a tricky clash for Conte’s men.
The west London side will take on Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League after the draw was made last week.
