Chelsea and Man United have edge over title rivals, claims Schmeichel
Peter Schmeichel explains why he thinks Chelsea and Man United could have the edge in the title race

Peter Schmeichel believes that Chelsea and Manchester United have the edge over Manchester City in the race for the Premier League title this season because of their proven goalkeepers.
Manchester City are currently leading the way in the race for the Premier League title, with Pep Guardiola’s men having been the standout team in the top flight so far this term.
City are currently top of the table and two points ahead of Manchester United as the title race begins to gather shape.
However, former Manchester United star Schmeichel reckons that the fact that both the Red Devils and Chelsea have Premier League winning goalkeepers in their squad could help them as the season progresses.
“You need your goalkeeper to save between 12-15 points to win the Premier League,” Schmeichel told talKSPORT.
“We know De Gea can do that, he’s done more than that.
“We know with Courtois, he can do that.
“What we don’t know is with Ederson, can he do that?
“He’s had a really good start but we are only in October.
“In that respect, I think that Chelsea and Manchester United have a little bit of an edge.”
Manchester United return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to newly-promoted Huddersfield Town.
The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are preparing to host Watford on Saturday lunchtime at Stamford Bridge as they bid to get back to winning ways after losing their last two games in the top flight.
The west London side won the title last season but have already lost three of their opening eight games.
