Antonio Conte sends message to Chelsea fans about Alvaro Morata after Crystal Palace loss
Antonio Conte delivers the latest update on Alvaro Morata as the Chelsea striker looks to return to action soon

Antonio Conte has revealed that he is “hoping” to have Alvaro Morata back available for selection again when Chelsea return to Champions League action against Roma on Wednesday night.
The Spanish striker was forced to sit out the Blues’ 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Morata missed Spain’s international fixtures and has been working hard on his fitness levels at Cobham as he bids to return to action as quickly as possible.
The 24-year-old’s injury is not thought to be too serious and Morata is in line to make his return to action when the Blues host Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
And speaking at his post-match news conference at Selhurst Park on Saturday, Conte said: “I hope to have Morata back for the game [against Roma].”
Morata has made a strong start to life at Chelsea since his transfer to the club from Real Madrid back in July.
The former Juventus star has scored six goals and made two assists in seven Premier League games and Chelsea fans will be hoping to see him back in action as quickly as possible.
Chelsea’s defeat by Palace left them in fifth place in the Premier League table and nine points behind leaders Manchester City.
